CRIMINAL LAW
ROAD TRAFFIC
The Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 94 of the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 [
1], hereby makes the following Order:
1.
- (1) The Order may be cited as the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004.
(2) In this Order "the Act" means the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003.
2.
- (1) The provisions specified in paragraph (2) shall come into force on 11
th October 2004.
(2) The provisions are-
(a) sections 76 to 79 of the Act;
(b) in Schedule 5 to the Act -
paragraph 17,
paragraph 18(a),
paragraphs 19 to 26,
paragraph 27(a)(ii)
in paragraph 27(a)(iii) the words "in paragraph (b), after "99C" there is inserted ", 109B"
paragraph 27(b),
paragraphs 28 to 37,
paragraphs 45 to 60, and
paragraphs 72 to 74; and
(c) the entries in Schedule 6 to the Act relating to the Road Traffic Act 1988 [2] and the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 [3].

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 11th October the provisions of the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 specified in article 2 which are concerned with mutual recognition of driver licensing and disqualification between Great Britain and Northern Ireland and giving effect in Great Britain to driving disqualifications imposed in the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.
