The Lord Chancellor in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 30B of the Justices of the Peace Act 1997[
1] hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 6th February 2004.
Amendment to the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999
2.
In paragraph 4 of Schedule 4 (Rates for Travelling and Subsistence Allowance) to the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999[
2] for "6.9p" there is substituted "20p".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
These Regulations amend:
The Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999. The effect of the amendments is to increase the rates for travel by bicycle payable to members of the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority.
The payment rate is increased from 6.9p per mile to 20p per mile with effect from 6th February 2004.
