(3) In Part III of that Schedule -

- (1) Schedule 3 shall be amended in accordance with this regulation.
(2) In item 1 in that Schedule (premium instalment television licence), for the words "(not in Jersey or Guernsey)" there shall be substituted the words "(not in the Channel Islands)"; and for "£27.25", in each place where it occurs, there shall be substituted "£28.50".
(3) For items 2 and 3 in that Schedule (budget instalment and easy entry licences) there shall be substituted the items set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
6.
For Schedule 4 (interim etc. television licences)[6] there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.

Budget instalment television licence (including colour). |
A licence as described in column 2 of item 2 in Part I of Schedule 2, the fee for which is payable in the instalments specified in column 3 of this Schedule. |

A licence as described in column 2 of item 2 in Part I of Schedule 2, the fee for which is payable in the instalments specified in column 3 of this Schedule, which is issued to a person who, at the time of issue, is in receipt of one or more income-related state benefits. |
An issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 9 weekly instalments of £4.50, followed by 16 further weekly instalments of £4.00; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 17 fortnightly instalments of £4.50, followed by 7 further fortnightly instalments of £4.00; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 12 fortnightly instalments of £8.00, followed by a single further fortnightly instalment of £8.50; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 14 fortnightly instalments of £7.00, followed by a single further fortnightly instalment of £6.50; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 5 fortnightly instalments of £6.50, followed by 12 further fortnightly instalments of £6.00; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 19 fortnightly instalments of £5.50; or an issue fee of £4.50 and thereafter 20 fortnightly instalments of £5.00, followed by a single further fortnightly instalment of £4.50; or an issue fee of £55.25 and thereafter 10 fortnightly instalments of £4.25, followed by 3 further fortnightly instalments of £3.75. A licence as described in column 2 of item 2 in Part I of Schedule 2, the fee for which is payable in accordance with column 3 of this Schedule, which is issued to a person who will attain the age of 75 years within the period of 12 months beginning with the due date. |
An amount equal to £9.083 for each month, or part of a month, in the period beginning on the due date and ending on the last day of the month before the month in which the licensee attains the age of 75 years (the amount being rounded down to the nearest penny where necessary), payable by -
(b) payment of an issue fee of an amount specified as an issue fee in column 3 of item 1, 2 or 3 of Schedule 3, where applicable, and thereafter, as required to pay the balance of the amount due, instalments of the amount required to be paid in relation to that issue fee and a final instalment of not more than the amount of each instalment so required, such instalments to be paid at the time specified in relation to the corresponding instalments in column 3 of Schedule 3. " |
These Regulations also make provision to abolish the fee payable for the replacement of a lost or destroyed licence in a case where the lost or destroyed licence was issued or renewed free of charge. They also amend (except in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) the provision made for calculating the fee for an Accommodation for Residential Care Composite Form television licence, such that no account is taken of any unit of accommodation or dwelling that is the sole or main residence of a resident aged 75 years or more.
