JUDGE HICKS QC: In this appeal by Mr Collett against the decision of the Industrial Tribunal no one appears. The appeal was put into the list fairly late through the falling away of the appeal originally listed for today. We understand that the parties were informed, presumably by letter, on Monday. There has been no response from Mr Collett and, as we understand it, an attempt to reach him by telephone failed because the telephone was out of order. We therefore consider that it is clearly possible that Mr Collett is not aware of the listing for today. He should of course have given notice of any change of address if that is the reason why he cannot be reached. But there are equally clearly other possibilities arising through no fault of his with such comparatively late notice. In all the circumstances, we think that the fair thing to do is to adjourn this appeal to a date to be fixed.
