For the 2nd Respondent NEITHER PRESENT NOR REPRESENTED
MR JUSTICE TUCKER: We think it best in the interests of justice and certainty of the law, that we should grant this application for an adjournment, pending resolution by the Court of Appeal of another case, which in our view, is virtually identical to the present case, that of McMeechan. We have taken into account any possible prejudice to the first respondent. It will of course be open to her solicitors, if they see fit, to write to the Law Society making representations to them, but we note that the contribution she is required to make is a modest one. That will be for her to consider. But we do not view any prejudice to her as overcoming the great advantage as we see it, of obtaining the Court of Appeal's views on this matter, which we hope will not take too long.
