APPEARANCES
For the Appellant NO ATTENDANCE BY
APPELLANT
MR JUSTICE WOOD (PRESIDENT): In this case the Applicant, Mr Thorpe, appealed against a decision of an Industrial Tribunal sitting at Manchester in March 1992.
The Respondents were Milltrex Limited and Crown Corporation Limited, the issue was whether there was jurisdiction in that there had been a transfer of certain businesses and the question was whether two years continuous employment could be established. The Tribunal decided against him.
Mr Thorpe appealed by a Notice of Appeal dated the 2nd June 1992. In the Notice of Appeal it was indicated that he had instructed solicitors to act for him and their name and address is given in the Notice of Appeal.
We have made enquiries of the solicitors who do not know where Mr Thorpe is and are no longer acting for him. We have tried to contact Mr Thorpe through the usual provision by way of the Post Office and elsewhere and we are quite unable to make contact with him.
In the circumstances, therefore, this appeal is dismissed.
