The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: Citation, extent, commencement and cessation 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (Recovery of Costs) Regulations 2001. (2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only. (3) These Regulations shall come into force at 3.00 p.m. on 30th October 2001, and shall remain in force until midnight on 31st December 2001. Recovery of Costs 2. The Scottish Ministers may charge the occupier of any holding or premises at which supervision or inspection is carried out for the purposes of establishing the eligibility for dispatch of products under the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2001[2] for the costs reasonably incurred by them in that respect. No. L 277, 20.10.01, p.30). A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations. [1] 1972 c.68.
