Re-settlement of released or discharged prisoners. 41.(1) The Ministry, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance, may make and give effect to such schemes as the Ministry may think expedient [for the supervision or assistance of persons convicted of offences with a view to their resettlement and rehabilitation]. [(2) Without prejudice to subsection (1), the Ministry may make grants towards the expenditure of any society approved by the Ministry, or any individual, who is engaged in supervising or assisting persons convicted of offences with a view to their rehabilitation, and may require probation officers and other officers to perform duties in connection with the resettlement and rehabilitation of such persons.] Laying of prison rules.
