Right of mesne landlords to compensation for improvements. 32. Where in the case of premises comprised in a tenancy there are several persons standing in the relation to each other of landlord and tenant, any mesne landlord who has paid or is liable to pay, or any of whose predecessors in title has paid or is liable to pay, compensation under this Part shall, at the end of his term, be entitled to compensation from his immediate landlord in like manner and on the same conditions (save those conditions relating to the service of a claim for compensation) as if he had himself made the improvement in question.
