Customs and Excise (Mutual Assistance) Act, 2001 (Commencement) Order, 2002.

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12(2) of the Customs and Excise (Mutual Assistance) Act, 2001 (No. 2 of 2001) , hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Mutual Assistance) Act, 2001 (Commencement) Order, 2002.

2.         The 22nd day of February, 2002, is fixed as the day on which the Customs and Excise (Mutual Assistance) Act, 2001 (No. 2 of 2001) , comes into operation.

This Order brings into operation the provisions of the Customs and Excise (Mutual Assistance) Act, 2001 .
