Diseases of Animals (Inspection Fees) Order 2002 |

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 6 of No. 6 of 1966 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 1999 ( S.I. No. 307 of 1999 )) hereby order as follows:- 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Inspection Fees) Order, 2002. |

(2) Diseases of Animals (Inspection Fees) Order, 1995 ( S.I. No. 133 of 1995 ) is revoked. 2. (1) There shall be paid to the Minister, in such manner as he shall direct, in respect of the issue of a certificate under Article 19 of the Diseases of Animals (Protection of Animals during Transport) Order 1995 ( S.I. No. 98 of 1995 ), a fee calculated in accordance with paragraph (2) of this Article and the fee payable under this Article shall be paid by the owner or the person who is for the time being in charge of the animal to which the certificate relates. |

(2) A fee payable under this Article shall, subject to sub-paragraph (h) of this paragraph, be calculated by reference to the number of animals to which it relates and in accordance with such of the following rates as is, or are, appropriate - |
||
a) in case the relevant certificate relates to an animal of the bovine species, a rate of €4.80 per animal; |
||
b) in case such certificate relates to an animal of the equine species, a rate of €12.50 per animal; |
||
c) in case such certificate relates to an animal of the ovine or caprine species a rate of €0.50 per animal; |
||
d) in case such certificate relates to an animal of the porcine species, other than those being exported to Northern Ireland, a rate of €1.20 per animal; |
||
e) in case such certificate relates to an animal of porcine species being exported to Northern Ireland, a rate of €0.63 per animal subject to a maximum for each inspection visit of €95; |
||
f) in case such certificate relates to an animal of the cervine species, a rate of €0.75 per animal; |
||
g) in such case certificate relates to an animal of the canine species, a rate of €1.90 per pup and a rate of €3.80 per adult animal; |
||
h) in case such certificate relates to any other species, a rate of €12.50 per certificate; subject in each case to a minimum fee of €12.50 per certificate. |

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development has made an Order under section 3 and 6 of No.6 of 1966 ) entitled as above dated 29 January 2002. The Order converts the fees payable in respect of the issue of a certificate under Article 19 of the Disease of Animals (Protection of Animals during Transport) Order 1995 to euro. The Order stipulates the fees to be paid to the Minister by the owner or the person who is for the time being in charge of the animals to which the certificate relates. |
