The Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000 (Commencement) (Wales) Order 2002
The National Assembly for Wales makes this Order in exercise of the power conferred upon it by section 4(3) of the Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000[

Name and application
1.
The name of this Order is the Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000 (Commencement) (Wales) Order 2002 and it applies to Wales only.
Coming into force
2.
Section 2 of the Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000 comes into force in Wales on the 1st April 2002.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings section 2 of the Warm Homes and Energy Conservation Act 2000 into force in Wales.
This obliges the National Assembly for Wales to prepare and publish, within 12 months of the commencement of section 2, a strategy setting out its policies for ensuring, by means including the taking of measures to ensure the efficient use of energy, that as far as reasonably practicable people in Wales do not live in fuel poverty.
