The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 363(2) and 744 of the Companies Act 1985[1], as extended by section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Companies (Welsh Language Forms) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 2nd October 2000. 2. Form 363s cym in the Schedule to these Regulations, with such variations as circumstances require, is an additional form prescribed for the purposes of section 363(2) of the Companies Act 1985, where the form has been delivered to a company whose memorandum states that its registered office is to be situated in Wales by the registrar for the purposes of an annual return by that company. Jeanne Spinks, for Secretary of State, Department of Trade and Industry. 6th September 2000 (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations prescribe a new Form 363s cym, corresponding to Form 363s prescribed by the Companies (Forms) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/2356). The form is in Welsh as well as in English, and will take effect on 2nd October 2000. It will be provided by the registrar of companies to any company with a memorandum stating that it is to be registered in Wales (as opposed to England and Wales) which notifies the registrar that it wishes to receive it instead of form 363s. Like form 363s it will be sent already partly completed from the registrar's records, and the company will be able to return it amended and completed as necessary.
