Our Lady of the Common Law: Incorporated Council of Law Reporting Annual Lecture
1. "The law reporters are the worker bees of the law; they take the seeds of principle from one authority to the next; and so new law is made from old. This is the very alchemy of the common law. So it seems fitting that the common law should be the theme of this lecture.
