The complexities and problems of adapting the DAPtext engine (created by Cambridge Parallel Processing) for use on a large full-text database such as CELEX, with its many fields and cross-references, were explained in detail. Erich SchweighoferEstablishing the necessary link between electronic sources and legal education The author's thesis is that the advent of electronic sources of legal information has not produced the desired change in legal writing and legal education. Law has become too complex for the average student or lawyer to 'master' all the elements. The use of Computer Assisted Legal Research (CALR) is seen as a potential answer in bridging the gap between electronic sources and legal education. |
