1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Elections and Recall Petition (Welsh Forms) (Amendment) Order 2024 and comes into force on 4th December 2024.
(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.
(3) This Order does not apply in relation to—
(a) a parliamentary election in respect of which the day of poll, as specified in the notice of the election published in accordance with rule 5 of Schedule 1 to the Representation of the People Act 1983( 4), is before 1st May 2025;
(b) a recall petition in respect of which the beginning date of the signing period, as specified in the public notice of petition given under regulation 14 of the Recall of MPs Act 2015 (Recall Petition) Regulations 2016( 5), is before 1st May 2025.
2. In Schedule 2 to the Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) Order 2007 (Welsh and English versions of prescribed forms and a form of words)( 6), for form 5 (official poll card) and form 7 (official proxy poll card) substitute the corresponding form set out in Schedule 1 to this Order.
3. In the Schedule to the Recall Petition (Welsh Forms) Order 2022 (forms)( 7), for Form D (official petition notice for an elector who may sign the petition in person) and Form F (official petition notice for a proxy who may sign the petition in person) substitute the corresponding form set out in Schedule 2 to this Order.

This Order amends the Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) Order 2007 ( S.I. 2007/1014) and the Recall Petition (Welsh Forms) Order 2022 ( S.I. 2022/1405) by updating the prescribed form of poll card and proxy poll card, and the equivalent official petition notices, to reflect the changes made to the list of acceptable identification in rule 37(1H) to (1J) of Schedule 1 to the Representation of the People Act 1983 (c. 2), which is shown on each card and notice.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
