The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred by section 6(2) of the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020( 1), makes the following Regulations.
1.—(1) These regulations may be cited as the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 (Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2023 and come into force on 1st August 2023.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
2. In Schedule 3 (evidence) to the Registration of Marriage Regulations 2015( 2), in paragraph 5(1)(a)—
(a) after “decree absolute” insert “or final order”;
(b) after “marriage” insert “or nullity of marriage order”.

These Regulations make amendments to the Registration of Marriage Regulations 2015 ( S.I. 2015/207) which are consequential on the amendments made to the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 (c. 18)by the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 (c. 11)updating the terminology in relation to divorce and nullity applications.
A full impact assessment has not been prepared for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary, or public sector is foreseen.
S.I. 2015/207, to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations.
