The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 91(2) of the Subsidy Control Act 2022( 1), makes the following Regulations.
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Subsidy Control Act 2022 (Commencement) Regulations 2022.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
2. The Subsidy Control Act 2022 comes into force on 4th January 2023 insofar as it is not already in force.

These Regulations bring into force those provisions of the Subsidy Control Act 2022 (c. 23)which are not already in force.
The following provisions of the Act were brought into force on the day on which it was passed by virtue of section 91(1) of the Act—
(a) Part 1;
(b) any power to make regulations under Part 2, 3 or 4 or Chapter 1 of Part 6;
(c) Part 6.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen independent of the provisions these Regulations bring into force. An impact assessment was produced in relation to the provisions of the Act, a copy of which is available athttps://www.gov.uk/government/publications/subsidy-control-bill-2021-bill-documents.
