The Lord Chancellor in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) of the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017(1), and having consulted the Lord Chief Justice in accordance with section 23(2) of that Act, makes the following Regulations.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017 (Designation of Court) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 31st July 2019.
2. The High Court is designated to have the functions of the court under the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017.

These Regulations designate the High Court to have jurisdiction to exercise the functions of the court in relation to proceedings under the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017 (c. 27).
