Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 19(1) of the Education Act 2005(1) is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales) Order 2015 and comes into force on 12th February 2015.
2. Meilyr Rowlands is appointed as Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru for a period of 5 years commencing on 1st June 2015.
3. The Education (Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales) (No. 2) Order 2010 is revoked(2).

This Order appoints Meilyr Rowlands as Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales, or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru for a period of 5 years commencing on 1st June 2015.
2005 c.18. The functions of the National Assembly for Wales under that section were transferred to the Welsh Ministers by paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c.32).
