The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 166 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1).
In accordance with section 166(2) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted Northamptonshire County Council, South Northamptonshire Council, Daventry District Council and Northampton Borough Council (being the local authorities in whose area the relevant urban development area is situated).
1. This Order may be cited as the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (Dissolution) Order 2014 and shall come into force on 31st March 2014.
2. The West Northamptonshire Development Corporation shall be dissolved on 31st July 2014.

By virtue of section 166(3) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, on the coming into force of this Order the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation will cease to act except for the purpose of preparing its final accounts and report and winding up its affairs. The corporation will be dissolved on 31st July 2014.
No Impact Assessment has been prepared for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
