The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 130(4) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(1), and with the concurrence of the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs(2), after reference to the Social Security Advisory Committee(3).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Statutory Sick Pay (Maintenance of Records) (Revocation) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 6th April 2014.
2. Regulation 13 of the Statutory Sick Pay (General) Regulations 1982(4) (records to be maintained by employers) is revoked.

These Regulations amend the Statutory Sick Pay (General) Regulations 1982 ("the 1982 Regulations").
Regulation 2 revokes regulation 13 of the 1982 Regulations which provides for records concerning payments of Statutory Sick Pay to be retained by employers.
An assessment of the impact of this instrument on the private sector and civil society organisations has been made.
