This Order is made by the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(1) of the Petroleum Act 1998(1).
The Secretary of State, in accordance with section 27(3) of that Act, has given the persons designated by the instrument mentioned in article 2 of this Order an opportunity of being heard with respect to the revocation provided for by that article.
Accordingly the Secretary of State makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) (Revocation) Order 2014 and comes into force on 6th April 2014.
2. The Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010(2) is revoked.

Article 2 of this Order revokes the Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010 ("the 2010 Order"). The 2010 Order designated certain companies as the owners of certain submarine pipelines for the purposes of Part 3 (submarine pipelines) of the Petroleum Act 1998. The 2010 Order had become out of date because the companies designated as the owners of those particular pipelines had ceased to own them.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on business or the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
