1. This Scheme may be cited as the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) (Amendment) Scheme 2014 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
2. For paragraph 13(3)(b) of the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) Scheme 2012(3), substitute-
"(b)if a payment has already been made under this Part in respect of the installation of approved software on the boat, unless the application relates to the updating of that software".

This Scheme amends the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) Scheme 2012 (S.I. 2012/1375) ("the 2012 Scheme"). The effect of the amendment is to allow the Secretary of State to make payments in response to applications by the owners, charterers and masters of fishing boats (or their representatives) for funding for updates to software already installed on boats under the 2012 Scheme.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
