1. This Order may be cited as the A57 (Manchester Road South Approach to Denton Roundabout) (Trunking) Order 2013 and shall come into force on 28th October 2013.
2. In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.
3. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.
4. The position of the new trunk road is indicated by the hatched area on the plan numbered HA/530002/TRUNK/001, marked "The A57 (Manchester Road South Approach to Denton Roundabout) (Trunking) Order 2013", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Document Deposit Service, Communities and Local Government, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

Article 3
1. The length of highway becoming a trunk road is the westbound carriageway of the A57 Manchester Road South from a point 49 metres west of the centre point of its junction with Alphagate Drive at Denton in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside to the point at which it meets the circulatory carriageway of Denton Roundabout (at Junction 24 of the M60 motorway), a distance of 111 metres.
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order has the effect of trunking a section of the A57 Manchester Road South on the westbound carriageway approach to the Denton roundabout at Junction 24 of the M60 motorway.
The section of road named in the Order shall be transferred from the control of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to the Secretary of State for Transport and classified as a trunk road on the date that this Order comes into force.
