Coming into force in accordance with article 1
1. This Order may be cited as the Referendum on the Voting System (Welsh Forms) Order 2011 and comes into force seven days after the day on which it is laid before Parliament.
2. In this Order-“
(a)"the 2011 Act" means the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011(3);
(b)"the referendum" means the referendum on the voting system for parliamentary elections provided for in Part 1 of the 2011 Act;
(c)a reference to a numbered rule is a reference to the rule of that number contained in the referendum rules in Schedule 2 to the 2011 Act and a reference to a numbered Schedule is to the Schedule bearing that number in that Act.
3. Each of the forms or forms of words set out in Schedule 1 to this Order is prescribed as the Welsh version which may be used in Wales at the referendum in place of-
(a)in the case of form 1, the form prescribed by rule 21(4)(b);
(b)in the case of form 2, the form prescribed by rule 31(5)(a);
(c)in the case of form 3, the form prescribed by paragraph 27(2) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(d)in the case of form 4, the form prescribed by paragraph 34(1) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(e)in the case of form 5, the form of words prescribed by rule 24(1).
4. Each of the forms set out in Schedule 2 to this Order is prescribed as the version partly in Welsh and partly in English which must be used in Wales at the referendum in place of-
(a)in the case of form 1, the form of the ballot paper prescribed by rule 5(1);
(b)in the case of form 2, the form prescribed by rule 6(2);
(c)in the case of form 3, the form prescribed by rule 12(1)(b);
(d)in the case of form 4, the form prescribed by rule 15(5)(a);
(e)in the case of form 5, the form prescribed by rule 15(5)(b);
(f)in the case of form 6, the form prescribed by rule 15(5)(c);
(g)in the case of form 7, the form prescribed by rule 15(5)(d);
(h)in the case of form 8, the form prescribed by rule 17(3);
(i)in the case of form 9, the form prescribed by rule 17(6);
(j)in the case of form 10, the form prescribed by paragraphs 7(3) and 8(4) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(k)in the case of form 11, the form prescribed by paragraph 10(3) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(l)in the case of form 12, the form prescribed by paragraph 11(2) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(m)in the case of form 13, the form prescribed by paragraph 11(4) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(n)in the case of form 14, the form prescribed by paragraph 19(1) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(o)in the case of form 15, the form prescribed by paragraph 21(1) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(p)in the case of form 16, the form prescribed by paragraph 22(1) of Part 1 of Schedule 6;
(q)in the case of form 17, the form prescribed by paragraph 31(1)(b) of Schedule 3 to the National Assembly for Wales (Representation of the People) Order 2007(4) as modified by paragraph 59 of Part 2 of Schedule 6.

NOTE
The references to Schedule 3 are references to Schedule 3 to the National Assembly for Wales (Representation of the People) Order 2007 as applied by the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2010.

The forms and forms of words prescribed by article 3 and Schedule 1 to this Order are Welsh versions of certain forms or forms of words which may be used at the referendum on the United Kingdom parliamentary voting system, and in the Welsh Assemby election which will be combined with the referendum in Wales. The forms prescribed by article 4 of, and Schedule 2 to, this Order are versions partly in Welsh and partly in English which must be used at the referendum in Wales and the Welsh Assembly for the purposes referred to in article 4 of the Order.
The English version of the forms and forms of words are contained in the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011 (c.1).
"The appropriate Minister" for the purposes of section 26(2) of the Welsh Language Act 1993, includes, in accordance with section 27(4)(a) a Minister other than the Secretary of State who is responsible for the execution of provisions in Wales.
