(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order revokes the Vaccine Damage Payment (Specified Disease) Order 2009 which added influenza caused by the pandemic influenza A (H1N1) 2009 virus ("swine flu") to the diseases to which the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 applies. The Order also ensures that protection under the Vaccine Damage Payment Act 1979 continues to apply to any person who receives the vaccination before the date the revocation takes effect.
A full impact assessment has not been prepared for this Order as it has no impact on business, charities or voluntary bodies.
