Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 59 and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990(1), makes the following Order:
1.–(1) This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (London Borough of Camden) Special Development (Amendment and Revocation) Order 2010 and shall, subject to paragraph (2), come into force on 6th April 2010.
(2) Article 3 shall come into force on 1st October 2010.
(3) This Order applies in relation to England only.
2.–(1) The Town and Country Planning (London Borough of Camden) Special Development Order 2004(2) is amended as follows.
(2) In article 4 (publicity for applications for planning permission) for paragraph (3)(b) substitute–
"(b) by publication of the notice in a newspaper circulating in the locality in which the land to which the application relates is situated; and
(c) where the local planning authority maintain a website for the purpose of advertisement of applications, by publication of the notice on that website.".
3. The Town and Country Planning (London Borough of Camden) Special Development Order 2004 is revoked.

The Town and Country Planning (London Borough of Camden) Special Development Order 2004 ("the 2004 Order") made provision for publicity of certain planning applications within that Borough. Article 2 of this Order amends the 2004 Order in consequence of amendments made to articles 1 and 8 of the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/419) by the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) (Amendment) (England) Order 2010 (S.I. 2010/567). Article 3 of this Order also revokes the 2004 Order from 1st October 2010.
An impact assessment has been prepared in relation to this Order. The assessment has been placed in the Library of each House of Parliament and copies may be obtained from the Department for Communities and Local Government, Eland House, Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DU (Telephone 0303 444 1726).
1990 c. 8. These powers are now vested in the Welsh Ministers so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales. They were previously transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672); see the entry in Schedule 1 for the 1990 Act. By virtue of paragraphs 30 and 32 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c.32), they were transferred to the Welsh Ministers. Back [1]
