The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 6(A)(6)(c) and (7), 6C(2)(a) and (4), 6D(1) to (3) and (6) and 11A(1) of the Pension Appeal Tribunals Act 1943(1), makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Appeal Commissioners (Procedure) (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and shall come into operation on 6th April 2009.
2.–(1) The Pensions Appeal Commissioners (Procedure) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2005(2) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2(1) omit the definition of "month".
(3) In regulation 3(2)(a) for "subject to regulations 7(3) and 11(2)" substitute "subject to regulations 8(3) and 12(2)".
(4) In regulation 6(3)(d) for "was" substitute "has".
(5) In regulation 9(2) and 11(2) for "copies" substitute "a copy".
(6) In regulation 15(2)-
(a) in sub-paragraph (b) omit the words "in the case of observations on an appeal"; and
(b) in sub-paragraph (c) omit the words "in any case,".
(7) In regulation 25(1) and 26(1) for "regulations 4 and 27" substitute "regulation 4".

These Regulations make minor technical amendments to the Pensions Appeal Commissioners (Procedure) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2005.
