FINANCIAL SERVICES AND MARKETS

The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) (Amendment) Order 2007

  Made 29th March 2007 
  Laid before Parliament 30th March 2007 
  Coming into force 20th April 2007 

The Treasury make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 21(5) and (6) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000[1]:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) (Amendment) Order 2007 and comes into force on 20th April 2007.

Amendment of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005
    
2. For Part 2 of Schedule 3 to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005[2] (certain investment exchanges operating relevant EEA markets) substitute—

    " Part 2

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends Part 2 of Schedule 3 to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/1529) ("the 2005 Order") to update the list of investment exchanges operating relevant EEA Markets. An investment exchange specified in Part 2 of Schedule 3 is a "relevant market" for the purposes of articles 37, 41, 67 and 69 of the 2005 Order and a "relevant EEA market" for the purpose of article 68 of the 2005 Order.
