The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 75 and 104(1) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991[

Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st April 2007.
Preliminary
2.
The Street Works (Inspection Fees) (England) Regulations 2002[
2] shall be further amended as follows.
Amendment to regulation 3 (inspection fees)
3.
In regulation 3, in paragraphs (1) and (8), for "£21.00" there shall be substituted "£24.00".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (England) Regulations 2002 so as to increase the fee payable by undertakers for inspections of their work by street authorities in England under regulation 3 of those Regulations.
The fee for such inspections, which was last altered in April 2004, is increased by 14.3% from £21 to £24.
