The Pensions Act 2004 (Code of Practice) (Modification of subsisting rights) Appointed Day Order 2007
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 91(9) of the Pensions Act 2004[

Citation
1.
This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2004 (Code of Practice) (Modification of subsisting rights) Appointed Day Order 2007.
Appointed Day
2.
The day appointed for the purposes of section 91(9) of the Pensions Act 2004 (procedure for issue and publication of codes of practice) for the coming into effect of the Pensions Regulator Code of Practice No. 10: Modification of subsisting rights is 24th January 2007.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)]
This Order appoints the day for the purposes of section 91(9) of the Pensions Act 2004 (c.35) (procedure for issue and publication of codes of practice) for the coming into effect of the Pensions Regulator Code of Practice No. 10: Modification of subsisting rights as 24th January 2007.
An assessment of the impact on business, charities or the voluntary sector of the provisions relating to modification of subsisting rights was included in the Regulatory Impact Assessment that accompanied the Pensions Act 2004. A copy of the assessment has been placed in the libraries of both Houses of Parliament. Copies may be obtained from the Department for Work and Pensions, Better Regulation Unit, level 4, Adelphi, John Adam Street, London WC2N 6HT.
