The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 67 of, and by sub-paragraph 3(d) of paragraph 2 of Schedule 3A to, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995[
1], hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.
—(1) This Order may be cited as the Compromise Agreements (Description of Person) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1
st October 2005.
(2) In this Order, "the Act" means the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
Person Specified
2.
For the purposes of sub-paragraph 3(d) of paragraph 2 of Schedule 3A to the Act, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives employed by a solicitors' practice is specified.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends the category of person validly able to give advice in relation to compromise agreements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 to a Fellow of the Instituteof Legal Executives employed by a solicitors' practice.
