DANGEROUS DRUGS
The Drugs Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 24(3) of the Drugs Act 2005[
1], hereby makes the following Order:
1.
This Order may be cited as the Drugs Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005.
2.
—(1) The provisions of the Drugs Act 2005 which are specified in paragraph (2) shall come into force on 1st September 2005.
(2) The provisions specified for the purposes of paragraph (1) are—
(a) section 23(1) (amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entries at sub-paragraph (c) below;
(b) section 23(2) (amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entry at sub-paragraph (d) below;
(c) paragraphs 6 and 7 of Schedule 1 (amendments); and
(d) in Schedule 2 (repeals), the entry relating to section 38 of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001[2].

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force provisions of the Drugs Act 2005. The provisions specified in article 2(2) are brought into force on 1st September 2005.
NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS

The following provisions of the Drugs Act 2005 have been brought into force by commencement orders made before the date of this Order.
