The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by sections 7(5) and 60(4) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993[
1] hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.
This Order may be cited as the National Lottery (Licence Fees) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 13th January 2003.
Fees for licences under section 6
2.
- (1) The National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 2001[
2] shall be amended as follows.
(2) Article 3 (fees for licences under section 6) shall be renumbered as paragraph (1) of that article.
(3) At the beginning of paragraph (1) of article 3 (as so renumbered) there shall be inserted "Subject to paragraph (2)".
(4) After paragraph (1) of article 3 (as so renumbered), there shall be inserted -
"
(2) Where a licence granted under section 6 of that Act authorises the promotion by the licensee of an unrestricted number of lotteries which fall within a particular description specified in the licence, the fee shall be £100,000".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/2506) which prescribes the fees payable on all licences granted under section 5 or 6 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993.
The Order prescribes the sums payable by the licensee to the National Lottery Commission by way of fees on the grant of a licence under section 6 of the Act, which authorises the promotion by the licensee of an unrestricted number of lotteries which fall within a description specified in the licence. It does not amend the fees payable on any other licences granted under section 5 or 6.
