The Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2002

Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 112(2)(a) of the Terrorism Act 2000[
1], the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1.
This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 19th February 2002.
2.
The provisions of Part VII of the Terrorism Act 2000 which are in force on 18th February 2002 shall continue in force for the period beginning with 19th February 2002 and ending with 18th February 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order continues in force for a further period of twelve months the provision of Part VII of the Terrorism Act 2000 (which extend to Northern Ireland only) apart from section 100, which has not been brought into force. The said provisions will therefore continue in force up to and including 18th February 2003.
