In exercise of the power conferred on the Secretary of State by section 22(8) of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988[
1], I hereby make the following Order:
1.
This Order may be cited as the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Firearms Consultative Committee) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st February 2002.
2.
The Firearms Consultative Committee shall continue to exist for a period of two years beginning on 1st February 2002.
3.
The Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Firearms Consultative Committee) Orders 1996[
2] and 2000[
3]are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order continues in existence the Firearms Consultative Committee established under section 22 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 for a further period of two years from 1st February 2002. That Committee has been kept in existence by the Orders under section 22(8) of that Act revoked by article 3 of this Order.
