The Films Co-Production Agreements Order 1985 ("the principal Order ") provides that films made in accordance with the agreements between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Governments of the countries listed in the Schedule, as substituted by S.I. 1994/3222, are to be treated as British Films for the purposes of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985. The present Order corrects the Command Paper reference in the list of agreements scheduled to the principal Order for an agreement with France of 8th November 1994 (Cm. 2992) and extends the list of agreements scheduled to the principal Order to include an agreement with Italy of 5th May 1998 (Cm. 4029).
1985 c. 21. Paragraph 4(5) of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985 was repealed and re-enacted as paragraph 4(7) of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985 by the Films (Modification of the Definition of "British Film") Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/2386).
