The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 30B of the Justices of the Peace Act 1997(1), makes the following Regulations:
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st September 2000.
(2) In these Regulations "the 1999 Regulations" means the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999(2).
2. In Schedule 4 to the 1999 Regulations-
(a)in paragraph 3(1)(a), for "27.4p" there shall be substituted "29.89p";
(b)in paragraph 3(1)(b), for "36.8p" there shall be substituted "38.82p";
(c)in paragraph 3(1)(c), for "1,401 cubic centimetres" there shall be substituted "1,400 cubic centimetres" and for "44.7p" there shall be substituted "48.43p";
(d)in paragraph 3(2), for "23.6p" there shall be substituted "25.60p";
(e)in paragraph 6(1)(a)(i), for "£6.57" there shall be substituted "£6.77";
(f)in paragraph 6(1)(a)(ii), for "£9.16" there shall be substituted "£9.44";
(g)in paragraph 6(1)(a)(iii), for "£17.29" there shall be substituted "£17.82";
(h)in paragraph 6(1)(b), for "£77.43" there shall be substituted "£79.82" and for "£88.31" there shall be substituted "£91.04".

These Regulations amend the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999. The effect of the amendments is to increase the rates for travelling and subsistence allowance payable to members of the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority.
1997 c. 25. Section 30B is inserted into the Justices of the Peace Act 1997 by section 83(1) of the Access to Justice Act 1999 (c. 22).
