The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 406 and 416 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport for London (Transitional Provisions) (Croydon Tramlink) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 3rd July 2000.
2. In this Order "Tramlink" has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the Croydon Tramlink Act 1994(2) and the "Concession Agreement" means the agreement concerning Tramlink dated 21st November 1996 and made between London Regional Transport and Tramtrack Croydon Limited.
3. Any reference to section 3(2A)(a) of the London Regional Transport Act 1984(3) in clauses 5, 23, 25 and 48 of the Concession Agreement shall be construed as a reference to section 169(3)(a) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 nothwithstanding that the repeal of section 3(2A)(a) of the London Regional Transport Act 1984 has not come into force.

This Order provides that any reference in specified clauses of the Croydon Tramlink Concession Agreement to section 3(2A)(a) of the London Regional Transport Act 1984 is to be construed as a reference to section 169(3)(a) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
