(i)1. This Order may be cited as the A43 Trunk Road (M40 To B4031 Improvement-Ardley Interchange) (Trunking) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 9th June 2000.
(ii)All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.
2. The lengths of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become trunk roads from the date when this Order comes into force.
3. The centre line of the new trunk roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered PSE/O/A43/2/65/0/5, marked "The A43 Trunk Road (M40 to B4031 Improvement-Ardley Interchange) (Trunking) Order 2000", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the Highways Agency, St. Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE.

The lengths of highway becoming trunk roads are:-
(1) the B430 Station Road from a point 400 metres north-east of its junction with Bucknell Road to its junction with the Ardley interchange, a distance of 155 metres;
(2) the roundabouts and the bridge over the M40 forming part of the Ardley interchange, a distance of 216 metres; and
(3) the A43 from its junction with the Ardley interchange to a point 655 metres from its junction with the B4100, a distance of 400 metres.
