Whereas the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions has, pursuant to section 54(1) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992(), designated the council of the county of Derbyshire as regards the financial year beginning in 1998;
And whereas the Secretary of State has notified that authority in writing pursuant to section 56(1) of that Act of his decision so to designate it, the principles determined under section 54(2) of that Act in relation to it, and the amount which he proposed should be the maximum for the amount calculated by it as its budget requirement for that year;
And whereas that authority has informed the Secretary of State by notice in writing under section 56(4)(a) of that Act that, for the reasons stated in the notice, it believes the maximum amount stated under section 56(1)(c) of that Act should be such as is stated in its notice;
And whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the House of Commons;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, after considering all such information as he thinks is relevant, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 57(2) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order-
