INJURIES IN WAR COMPENSATION

1.-(1) This Scheme may be cited as the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation (Amendment) Scheme 1997.
(2) The Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Schemes 1914 to 1996 and this Scheme may be cited together as the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Schemes 1914 to 1997.
2. In paragraph (3) of the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Scheme 1914(3), for "£105", wherever it appears, there shall be substituted "£107.20".
3. This Scheme shall have effect as from 7th April 1997, so, however, that no payment shall be made under it in respect of any period before that date.

The Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Schemes 1914 to 1996 provide for the payment of weekly allowances to ex-members of the women's auxiliary forces who suffered disablement from their services overseas during the 1914 to 1918 war.
This amending Scheme provides that the maximum weekly allowance shall be increased from £105 to £107.20. The increase will take effect on 7th April 1997.
