The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having completed the consultation prescribed under section 5(2) of that latter Act(3), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Leicestershire Ambulance and Paramedic Service National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1997 and shall come into force on 30th May 1997.
2. In Article 4 of the Leicestershire Ambulance and Paramedic Service National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993(4) for "4 non-executive" there shall be substituted "3 non-executive" and for "4 executive" there shall be substituted "3 executive".

This Order amends the constitution of an NHS trust established by Order under Part I of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, by reducing the number of non-executive and executive directors from 4 to 3 in each case.
