The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 134 and 135 of, and paragraph 1 of Schedule 26 to, the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order-
1. This Order may be cited as the Central Manchester Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.
2.-(1) Articles 2 and 3 of the Central Manchester Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1988(2) are hereby revoked.
(2) So much of the Central Manchester Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1988 as has not previously been revoked shall be revoked with effect from 1st July 1996.

This Order revokes the Central Manchester Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1988 which designated the Central Manchester urban development area and established the Central Manchester Development Corporation. Articles 2 and 3 of that Order are revoked from 1st April 1996 and the remainder from 1st July 1996.
1980 c. 65; section 134 was amended by section 47 of, and Part III of Schedule 12 to, the Housing and Planning Act 1986 (c. 63). Sections 134 and 135 were amended by section 179 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (c. 28).
