The Secretary of State for Transport, as respects England, the Secretary of State for Scotland, as respects Scotland, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 100(1)(b) of the Transport Act 1985(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: -
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Travel Concession Schemes (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st December 1996.
2.-(1) The Travel Concession Schemes Regulations 1986(2) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 27 (content of notices) for the words "the notices mentioned in regulation 32" there shall be substituted "notices given under section 98(4) or 99(3) of the Act".
(3) In Schedule 1 (particulars to be contained in certain notices) for paragraph 3 there shall be substituted the following paragraph -
"3. The route number or name (if any) and the registration number allocated by the traffic commissioner of each service to which the notice relates."

These Regulations amend the Travel Concession Schemes Regulations 1986, so as to remove an ambiguity in the wording of regulation 27 of those Regulations and to simplify the particulars required to be given under certain types of statutory notice relating to travel concession schemes and served or given under sections 96 to 99 of the Transport Act 1985.
