The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 181(4)(a) and 273(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Limit of Annual Value) (Scotland) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.
2. The amount prescribed for the purposes of section 181(4)(a) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 is £21,500.
3. The Town and Country Planning (Limit of Annual Value) (Scotland) Order 1985(2) is hereby revoked.

This Order prescribes £21,500 as the limit of annual value for the purposes of section 181 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 (which relates to the circumstances in which authorities may be obliged to purchase interests of owner-occupiers affected by planning proposals) and replaces the limit of £12,000 prescribed by the Town and Country Planning (Limit of Annual Value) (Scotland) Order 1985.
