1. This Scheme may be cited as the M1 Motorway (Belle Isle) Scheme 1994 and shall come into force on 29th April 1994.
2. The Secretary of State is authorised to provide a special road for the exclusive use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980 along a route from a point on the eastern side of the M1 Motorway 160 metres north of the Middleton Lane overbridge, northwards, to a point on the eastern side of that motorway 275 metres south of Urn Farm Accommodation Bridge, all in the City of Leeds in the County of West Yorkshire, a distance of about 500 metres.
3. The centre line of the new special road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan number HA16/YHCPD9 marked "The M1 Motorway (Belle Isle) Scheme 1994", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.
4. The new special road shall become a trunk road on the date when this Scheme comes into force.
