In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 3(c) of the Official Secrets Act 1911(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Official Secrets (Prohibited Places) (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 26th March 1993.
2. The Official Secrets (Prohibited Places) Order 1975(2) shall be amended by adding to Part I of the Schedule to that Order the place specified in the Schedule to this Order, being a site to which a permit applies within the meaning of paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Nuclear Installations Act 1965(3).

Section 3 of the Official Secrets Act 1911, as amended, defines the expression "prohibited place" for the purposes of that Act, and paragraph (c) of that section enables certain places not otherwise within the definition to be declared prohibited places by Order.
This Order amends the Official Secrets (Prohibited Places) Order 1975 by adding the place specified in the Schedule to those declared to be prohibited places for the purposes of the 1911 Act.
1911 c. 28; section 3(c) was amended by Schedule 1 to the Official Secrets Act 1920 (c. 75), extended by section 6(3) of the Atomic Energy Authority Act 1954 (c. 32) and by paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 1 to the Nuclear Installations Act 1965 (c. 57) as that sub-paragraph has effect by virtue of the Nuclear Installations (Application of Security Provisions) Order 1993 (S.I. 1993/687).
