The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on her by section 8(1) and (2) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (Determination of Regions) Amendment Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.
(2) In this Order, "the 1981 Order" means the National Health Service (Determination of Regions) Order 1981(2).
2. North West Thames Region is varied by excluding, and South West Thames Region is varied by including, the borough of Spelthorne in the county of Surrey.
3.-(1) In article 2 of the 1981 Order the words from ", references therein to wards" to "Order 1978" shall be omitted.
(2) In consequence of the variation of regions effected by article 2 of this Order, in column (3) of the Schedule to the 1981 Order-
(a)in the entry relating to North West Thames Region the words from "and, in the county" to the end of the entry shall be omitted;
(b)in the entry relating to South West Thames Region the words "(except the borough of Spelthorne)" shall be omitted.

(This Note is not part of the Order)
This Order varies the North West Thames Region and the South West Thames Region, determined by the National Health Service (Determination of Regions) Order 1981, by excluding from the former region, and including in the latter region, the borough of Spelthorne in the County of Surrey (article 2). It also amends the Schedule to that Order in consequence of that variation of regions, and makes an amendment in article 2 of that Order to remove words which are spent (article 3).
